Assistant Professor, Advanced Education Programs, Fort Hays State University. Full-time tenure track position beginning August 13, 2013. Required Qualifications: An earned doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program, or have been employed as full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013. ABD accepted. Successful candidates should be well-rounded, with diverse institutional, educational, research, and experiential backgrounds; practical/relevant experience in school or community counseling settings, leadership, and/or teaching in a higher education setting; and have a record of scholarly activity and service to the larger community.

This is a full-time nine-month tenure track position (with summer teaching available) in the Department of Advanced Education Programs in the College of Education & Technology at Fort Hays State University with primary teaching responsibilities in counseling education. Additional teaching may be expected.

The primary function of the position is instruction, with the expectation that the faculty member will also engage in scholarly activity and university/professional service. The areas of responsibility are typically in a proportion of 60% instruction, 20% scholarship, and 20% service.
