Job Summary:
With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applicants,
train new employees, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests,
conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action.
Under general direction, perform work using knowledge and experience
specific to the specialized programs of Nutrition, Exercise & Health
Sciences (NEHS). Devise and implement new procedures and exercise
independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations.
Independently advise students, staff, program participants and/or
the public regarding program content, policies, procedures and
activities, select/recommend alternative courses of action,
and Project, monitor, maintain, initiate and/or approve expenditures
n program budgets.
Required Qualifications:
-Three years of applicable experience in coordinating a specialty program;
or equivalent education/experience
-Experience and/or training that demonstrates the ability to use Word, Excel,
email, and/or similar software applications to produce written correspondence,
maintain spreadsheets, and receive and respond to email inquiries, tasks, etc.
-Experience demonstrating the ability to greet, direct, refer and interact
with public, and resolve issues with internal and external customers
-Training and/or experience demonstrating the ability to track and maintain
budgets and grants
-Experience and/or training that demonstrate and ability to independently
establish priorities among multiple tasks
-Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
-Working knowledge of financial, human resources and/or student systems such as
FMS, HRMS and Safari
-Supervisory experience
-Experience with graphics (publishing software)
-Bachelor’s Degree
Salary Range: $2,920/month with periodic increments up to $3,819/month
