The Department of Music & Theatre at the University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor of Music.
The responsibilities for this position include the following:
-Teaching applied clarinet,
-Teaching assignments in music theory and
possibly applied saxophone and/or double reeds,
-Recruiting outstanding students,
-Pursuit of performance opportunities and other
creative/scholarly activities,
-Service on departmental and university
committees,
-Student advising.

Schools of Music. The Department of Music and Theatre has approximately 150 music majors,
eleven full-time and eleven adjunct music faculty members.
Doctorate in music required for tenure-track appointment at Assistant Professor rank. ABD considered for temporary employment at instructor rank. Evidence of successful private teaching, including college/university level experience, as well as a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in the areas of applied woodwinds and related fields.
