The Research Data Analyst's primary function is to interpret requests for information and compile appropriate and accurate responses to these data requests. S/he is responsible for timely completion of established surveys, maintaining and updating documents published on the Institutional Research (IR) web page, and working closely with academic units and other offices on campus to obtain and verify current data and information. This position is also responsible for organizing and logging surveys and IR reporting documents and source data, as well as documenting methodologies employed and data sources utilized.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-Bachelor's degree
-Minimum 3 years of progressive responsibility and professional experience
-Demonstrated ability and previous experience using a report writer to build queries for extracting data from administrative systems and other data sources.
-Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel, also Word and Outlook, etc.)
-Ability to work independently, prioritize a high volume of work under tight deadlines, and handle highly sensitive/confidential information.
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and time management skills, including judgment, accuracy and attention to detail. Sense of humor a must.
-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups

Other Considerations:
-Prefer Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or related field.
-Master's degree preferred
-Two or more years in a higher education institution preferred
-Demonstrated experience with statistical software (SAS preferred)

Anticipated Hiring Range:
Salary commensurate with experience
