Position Summary:

Responsible for planning and implementation of budgets, financial management, resource allocation, grants management and HR duties. Planning, budgeting, and analyzing institutional and program budgets. Providing timely and accurate financial information to internal and external users. Supervising full range of fiscal affairs, including financial planning, accounting systems/procedures, structures/controls, budget development/management, investing, cash flow receipts, and expenditures monitoring and control. Supervising accounting services/systems, lease management and purchasing to ensure optimal utilization of School’s financial resources/operation and compliance with applicable external financial regulation and sound audit practices. Advise Dean on faculty issues, including promotion and tenure, raises, expenses.

Education Requirements:

Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required with at least 5 years of successful financial management, with preference for experience in an academic environment.

Qualification and Experience:

Experience Requirements: Must be able to plan, design, and implement multiple initiatives and projects on time and within budget; excellent communication skills, both written and oral; skills in team building, leadership, organizational planning, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Knowledge in University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill policies and procedures.
