Case Western Reserve University, a leader among national, independent research universities, is seeking an ambitious, strategic thinker with substantive knowledge of enrollment technology, data, and processes to serve as Director of Enrollment Operations.
The Position: The Director of Enrollment Operations is responsible for the vision, planning and program development of the business processes for the division of Enrollment Management, along with the implementation and evaluation of those processes. The Director reports to Vice President for Enrollment Management, Rick Bischoff, and directly supervises five Enrollment Operations staff members. In addition, this individual works collaboratively with the Offices of Undergraduate Admission, University Financial Aid, Strategic Marketing, and First Year Experience and Family Programs to guide the deployment of resources and ensure the delivery of excellent service.
The Director of Enrollment Operations will serve as the division’s chief technology officer and primary contact for key internal and external partners. He/she will advise the Vice President on matters related to staffing levels, business processes and deployment of technology, and will establish standards for optimum efficiency consistent with the highest expectations surrounding the University’s brand. It will be in the Director’s purview to ensure the accurate collection, retention and accessibility of enrollment management data. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a sophisticated understanding of best practices for admissions and financial aid. Possessing stamina to match the division’s intense pace and high volume, candidates must be highly motivated by smart operational design and ambitious goals. The ideal candidate will be persuasive and diplomatic, and nimble enough to effectively navigate evolving priorities during the course of a recruitment year. Of primary importance is the ability to get things done. At least eight years of enrollment experience is desired. Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.
