Provides Human Resource administrative and office clerical support assistance for the entire Human Resources Department. Provides administrative support to the Wellness Committee. Oversees and is responsible for the Gonzaga University Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program.
Provides Human Resource administrative and office clerical support assistance for the entire Human Resources Department. Provides administrative support to the Wellness Committee. Oversees and is responsible for the Gonzaga University Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program.
Essential Functions:
Performs reception duties including answering the phone, taking messages, and greeting visitors.
Performs general office functions, including making photocopies, faxing documents, and filing.
Coordinates the Outlook calendar and schedules meetings for all personnel within the Human Resources Department.
Fields questions via phone and in person from University personnel regarding personnel problems, issues, or inquiries; directs questions to the appropriate HR professional as indicated with discretion.
Provides customer service assistance with applicants.
Maintains the Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety department operating budgets. This includes Quicken, Excel, and Banner HRIS system tracking.
• Monitors work orders that have been called in and make sure they have been completed.
• Responsible for processing all requisitions, purchase orders, and reconciling office records with the Controller’s reports to provide accurate and up to date budget information.
• Coordinates the inventory and stocking of office supplies as well as ergonomic inventory.
Distributes basic benefits and safety, hiring, and personnel forms as needed and ensures various forms are completed, copied, and distributed as appropriate.
Administratively supports the Wellness Committee in support of wellness programs and planned wellness events.
Supervises the office support student employees, including orientation, training, accurate completion of work assignments, etc. Monitors work-study money allotments so the students do not run out of their work study award prior to the end of the semester.
Coordinate Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program, including oversight of programs and activities.
Picks up, delivers, and distributes office mail.
Creates general office correspondence in the form of letters and memos.
Performs other functions in support of Gonzaga’s Mission.
