DESCRIPTION: This is responsible paraprofessional accounting work in support of one or a combination of the accounts payable, accounts receivable or auxiliary services functions of the Finance Department.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares routine and detailed departmental fiscal reports.
Responds to inquiries from vendors and staff via email and by telephone; sorts mail to ensure important information is obtained.
Researches assigned projects, analyzes results, and provides detailed reports of findings.
Assists in detailed and comprehensive audits of financial operations.
Assists in the annual physical inventory process.
Auxiliary Services
Reviews all vendor profit & loss statements and works with all auxiliary vendors to ensure timely and accurate commission payments to ensure contract compliance.
Processes all Connect Card transactions, reconciles the CBORD system daily, weekly, monthly and annually and prepares financial reports of the CSGold system.
Researches and makes recommendations in the resolution of student account issues with regards to CBORD.
Manages the Pay for Print and Administrative Printing areas of Auxiliary Services.
Processes charge backs and reconciles Pay for Print and Administrative Printing for the district.
Works with students, Connect Card patrons and departments to resolve issues.
Generates billing invoices for all facility rental contracts district-wide, monitors accounts receivable and ensures compliance with College Operating Procedure.
Prepares invoices and reconciles payables and receivables between the college and the Edison State College Financing Corporation in regard to student housing.
Prepares monthly student housing financial reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education and one (1) year of full time work experience in accounting. Appropriate professional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated experience using a personal computer, electronic mail and office software such as MS Office, to include demonstrated proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Demonstrated ability to:
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.
• Work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
Experience using SunGard SCT Banner.
