The Assistant Director of Compliance & Student Athlete Affairs provides excellent service to student athletes, coaches, and institutional staff members. The Assistant Director is responsible for maintaining compliance with all NCAA, conference and institutional regulations and for providing support, guidance and leadership to Temple University student athletes. The Assistant Director of Compliance & Student Athlete Affairs also performs other duties as assigned.

The Assistant Director of Compliance & Student Athlete Affairs has primary responsibility to:
Compliance
Act as a primary contact for select sport programs for all compliance functions including interpretations, waivers, reporting and reviews of documents.
Serve as admissions liaison and coordinate pre-evaluations for incoming freshmen and transfer students .
Monitor and oversee all aspects of student athlete recruiting.
Oversee National Letter of Intent and Athletic Scholarship Programs.
Oversee approval process for camps and clinics .
Coordinate usage and dispersal of the NCAA Student Athlete Opportunity Fund .
Review and approve all activities involving student athletes including promotional activities and employment
Review and monitor Athletic Development, Athletic Communication and Marketing activities to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, polices and processes.

Student Athlete Affairs:
Develop programs to provide life skills support for student athletes.
Monitor student athlete well-being issues and provide on-going training and education.
Maintain and update content of the Temple Student Athlete Handbook.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in sports administration and compliance. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Knowledge of NCAA and conference regulations.
*Ability to manage multiple collaborative projects and systems in a fast-paced environment.
*Experience working with diverse populations .
*Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
*Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows XP and CAi.
