A Staff Physician is to provide patient-focused primary health care services to the patients of Redfern Health Center (RHC). RHC medical staff are expected to ensure ongoing compliance with Joint Commission accreditation standards while providing services that are responsive to the needs of university students. RHC physicians actively participate in performance improvement teams, committees, and other assigned tasks in support of achieving the objectives of Student Health Services.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
PRIMARY CARE
Provide outpatient primary care for students, visitors and employees (work related illness/injury only) of Clemson University including, preventive care, referral to appropriate resources within and outside of RHC, and patient education. E/85%
ADMINISTRATIVE
Maintain medical records in accordance with .Joint Commission accreditation standards, RHC policies and procedures, and applicable laws. E/10%
OTHER
Participate on RHC performance improvement teams and committees, University Committees, and other tasks as required.. E/5%
QUALIFICATIONS:
Board Certified primary care physician licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
Experience practicing medicine in a college health setting preferred. Experience practicing in a Joint Commission accredited environment preferred.
Position functions with minimal supervision under the Director of Medical Services.
