Job Description
The Student Life applications developer works as an application developer/business analyst and is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting information systems, application services for the One Card Office, Student Life, Housing, and Dining Services. Works with users to understand the area's business processes, implements specifications for the maintenance and enhancement of student information systems and functional technologies, participates in fit gap and prototyping sessions, configures systems, tests configurations, sets up tables, imports and exports data and resolves issues, develops and produces reports, trains staff on the use of the technology, maintains departmental web sites, develops and maintains documentation, troubleshoots and problem solves application issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field or substantial experience in information systems is required. Experience with the functional area applications, HTML, MS SQL, Microsoft Office Suite including Access, and Crystal Reports a plus. Ability to communicate verbally with users of varied technical ability, to demonstrate initiative and to manage multiple projects and deadlines is required. Demonstrate proficiency in use of personal computers and associated operating systems.
