Job Description:
The staff accountant assists in the maintenance of accounting books and records by preparing accounting reports and journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. This position is responsible for preparing monthly reconciliations of all University bank accounts including but not limited to operating, payroll, and flexible spending.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in accounting and general knowledge of accounting. Candidates should have at least two years general accounting experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Candidate needs to be a team player with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a busy office. Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, Word and general ledger software are a must.
