Mount Ida College is a small independent institution located eight miles west of Boston in Newton, Massachusetts, on a beautiful 72-acre campus in a quiet residential neighborhood. Founded in 1899, Mount Ida offers a diverse learning community and enjoys a reputation for excellence in emphasizing baccalaureate degrees that blend the liberal arts with professional preparation and prepare graduates for graduate study. The College enrolls approximately 1,400 undergraduate students and 20 graduate students in its newly introduced master of science in management. More than twenty-five areas of study are offered within five schools: the School of Arts and Science, School of Business, School of Design, School of Animal Science, and the New England Institute of Funeral Service Education.
Mount Ida College seeks qualified candidates for a Grants Manager/Writer. The Grants Manager/Writer is responsible for managing the development and submission of proposals for grants, contracts and sponsored projects and will oversee the management and implementation of grants and contracts. This will include developing proposal strategies and researching and writing of grant proposals.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience in non-profit development with a particular focus on grant writing, preferably in a higher education environment. Must have a demonstrated track record of successful grant writing accomplishments, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to meet deadlines.
