Northwestern College’s Theatre Department invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position with an emphasis in lighting design, sound design, and projections beginning fall 2013. Qualified candidates should hold an MFA in design; have had successful teaching experience and a sense of humor.
The successful candidate will develop and teach courses in lighting, sound, and projection design, as well as design multiple faculty-directed productions each year and mentor student designers. Included in the position is the expectation that the candidate also teach within our Integrated General Education program’s newly created First-Year Seminar: Speaking and Writing in Community. Additional responsibilities include advising and recruiting students, scholarship, and departmental/committee service.
