Accounts Receivable management, reporting, analysis and debt collection.
General ledge transactions and budget management for a large department.
Accrual and financial statement reporting.
Office management with administrative functions.
Hiring, supervising student staff and timekeeping functions.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Graduation from High School and one year of experience in accounting work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Advanced: Four year degree in business administration or accounting; two year degree in business administration or accounting and one year of experience. Or an equivalent level of combination of training and experience.
All diplomas and degrees must be received from appropriate institutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have thorough knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting theories and principles.
Must have the ability to ensure proper controls are incorporated in systems and procedures in new and existing operations.
Must have the ability to perform financial analysis as well as interpret financial data and reports.
Must have the ability to analyze processes, detect inefficiencies and determine solutions.
Must have the ability to communicate administrative policies and procedures in writing and accurately apply legislative/agency requirements.
Must have the ability to communicate at all organizational levels as needed to coordinate operations, maintain and develop systems, and provide training and guidance to University financial users.
Experience in a university environment with ERP accounting systems.
Four (4) year degree with an emphasis in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
