The Research Assistant will support the design of evaluation plans, using both quantitative and qualitative methods; prepare and distribute evaluation tools, as well as conduct literature reviews, complete data entry and basic analyses. The incumbent will also contribute to a variety of writing efforts as well as provide experience and knowledge of best practices, theory and principles. In addition, the Research Assistant will provide input and support to evaluation staff in the evaluation design, instrument construction, quality data assurances and analysis and report writing including developing a variety of evaluation tools and preparing and distributing surveying tools; assessing trainer's adherence to curriculum and providing constructive trainer feedback; participating in a variety of writing activities, such as writing-up trainer observation notes, drafting literature reviews, trainer feedback reports, and final evaluation reports; assisting with focus group facilitation; performing day-to-day evaluation activities including surveying, observation, and secondary data collection from external funder case records; entering quantitative data into various types of databases and transcribing qualitative data in an accurate and efficient manner; and performing basic quantitative and qualitative analysis of collected results using a variety of statistical software programs and sharing findings and discussing data interpretations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least one year of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

*Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, SPSS, Remark or comparable database software.
*Ability to understand and interpret relevant policy implications on program processes and outcomes.
