The person in this position will be expected to provide executive administrative support to the Chair of the Restorative Sciences department.
Other expectations include;
To act as the primary administrative person for the department by working in concert with the Chair to coordinate all administrative functions related to departmental budgets and grants, schedules, curriculum, student schedules and student stipends, purchasing and billing, personnel, intradepartmental meetings and relations.
Must be able to prioritize competing demands and be extremely organized. Must possess strong attention to detail. Must be able to communicate effectively both written and orally to students, staff, faculty and members of the Dean's Office. Must be a strong team player working with other academic departments at the Dental School. Must be able to think critically and provide solutions to problems prior to alerting department chair of any issues.
Required Skills:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years experience working as an administrative coordinator working in a busy department.
Prior experience working in academic setting and/or higher education is preferred.
Must possess strong Microsoft Office suite skills and comfortable working with technology.
