POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Broward College invites applicants for a full time tenure track teaching position in mathematics

Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners.

This position is a tenure-track two-semester (163-day) contract.

The anticipated hire date is August 2013.

Minimum Education: Master's Degree in Mathematics or a Master's Degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics is required. Doctorate degree is preferred.

Minimum Experience/Training: Dedication and enthusiasm for teaching is a must.
Teaching experience at a community college or university level preferred and middle/high school teaching experience is an asset.

Applicants must be willing to teach the entire span of mathematics courses from College Prep/Developmental Pre-Algebra up through upper-level courses such as; Calculus III, Differential Equations, Statistics, and Liberal Arts Mathematics.

Committee work is required. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain active professional development activities and service to the Department and College.
