The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day processing of financial operations for the Clinical Trial Unit (CTU). Main responsibilities include: Oversight and management of the fiscal operations of clinical trials, including financial reporting, analysis, and monitoring; Provide Principal Investigators, as required, with expenditures / billing notifications; Coordinate and maintain OCT database; Departmental administrative activities with Medical School administration as well as other inter and intra-departments and external agencies; Serve in a staff capacity in providing assistance to the CTU Administrative Department Director in the formulation and application of the CTU's administrative policies and procedures; Oversee and provide customer service to ensure efficient and timely completion of the daily workflow. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business related field with at least four years administrative experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Must be able to provide excellent customer service.
*Experience in accounting including budget and data analysis.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Mature judgment and excellent interpersonal skills.
*Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with deadlines.
*Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers including MS-Office (spreadsheets, desktop publishing, and database software).
Preferred:
*Knowledge of clinical trial budgeting.
*Experience in academic/clinical research financial management and knowledge of CPT coding desired.
*Demonstrated ability to utilize Clinical Trial Management Software and Financial Management Systems.
