Founded in 1877, RISD is one of the preeminent colleges of art and design in the world. The Graduate Admissions Officer is responsible for implementing the College Admissions policy with emphasis on recruiting and marketing for graduate programs. The successful incumbent will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective graduate students to interact with graduate directors and faculty in their disciplines. Also he/she will travel to graduate portfolio days, manage graduate tour guides, and supports Graduate Program Directors who travel for admissions. He/She will provide support to Graduate Program Directors during the application review process, and complete a variety of tasks/projects related to achieving recruitment goals.
Qualifications: Masters degree in a visual art or design discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience with public speaking and/or office procedures is desirable, Computer skills including MS Office Suite and Internet Savvy required. Adobe Suite, Keynote or Power Point a plus. Need the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Demonstrated ability to complete research and perform analysis.
