Job Description:
Notre Dame of Maryland University seeks an Administrative Assistant for the daily operations of the Office of the Dean of Pharmacy.
Essential functions include, but not limited to:
Screen calls to appropriate office, arranges appointments and committee meetings, processes correspondence, prepares memos and letters for the Dean, Associate Dean, and Director of Philanthropy.
Maintains all budget(s) and processes check requests for the Office of the Dean; updates and maintains student records, information, statistics and confidential files.
Maintains and updates files for all School committees and/or task forces and Office of the Dean.
Greets all visitors in a professional and timely manner.
Works effectively with other University administrative assistant staff to complete assigned tasks, when applicable, and to ensure efficient operation of the Office of the Dean.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have an Associates degree; a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Three years of office management/administrative assistant experience is required with a preferences in higher education.
Looking for applicants with excellent written & verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, word processing, ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, problem solve, maintain confidentiality and work effectively as a team member. Attention to detail, accuracy and timely completion of assignments are essential. Must be proficient with general office equipment, Microsoft office and database management.
Some overtime may be required as well as attendance at School of Pharmacy functions outside of normal business hours.
