The Research Assistant in the College of Science & Technology is responsible for the daily operation of the research on the importance of integrins in development of glioma and purification of snake venom proteins by HPLC. Maintains tissue culture facility for the unit and supports research activity in conformance with laboratory documented protocol. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and at least six months of directly related research/laboratory experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment.
*Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary (some evenings and weekends).
*Ability to work with laboratory animals (rats and mice).
*Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.
*Ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff.
*Ability to maintain records and inventories.
*Strong attention to detail.
*Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
