The Executive Assistant provides high level administrative support to the Temple University Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer (EVP/CFO), Senior Associate and Assistant Vice Presidents. Under the broad functional direction of the EVP, he/she manages all aspects of assigned projects within the portfolio of the EVP/CFO and initiates, maintains and directs working relationships with internal and external contacts across the university.
The Executive Assistant performs a variety of complex administrative functions that require a high degree of sensitivity and an ability to maintain confidentiality, and plans and oversees administrative operations, projects and work outcomes for the Treasurer, Financial Administration and Business Continuity Planning.
The Executive Assistant is responsible for maintaining calendars and project schedules, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, developing expense reports, screening incoming correspondence, responding independently to diverse constituents and conducting research and fact-gathering to support project areas. The Executive Assistant also performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree and at least five years of progressive administrative support experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
*Demonstrated computer skills to include full suite of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher), Project Management software, and Microsoft Contribute or similar package for website content and publishing.
*Demonstrated experience managing multiple electronic calendars.
*Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective organizational skills to successfully complete all details on deadline.
*Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse constituencies and at all levels within and outside of the university.
*Creativity and innovation in performing assignments.
*Demonstrated verbal communication fluency and mastery of written communication process as evidenced by high proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure.
*Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as necessary.
*Experience working with finance and budgets .
