General Purpose:

The Deputy Director of Campus Planning, Design and Construction Management will have overall responsibility for the business and success in the design, construction and renovation of all University buildings and related infrastructure. 

Responsible for the quality and cost control of projects; compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to facilities planning and construction; and optimum efficiency and effectiveness in the use of resources, oversees all project development milestones to ensure that adequate plan and constructability reviews are performed and appropriate peer reviews are conducted, develops and initiates policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure quality facility initiatives that are collaborative and focused on achieving the University’s goals and objectives.

Direct and Supervise department project management staff.  Motivate, establish goals, objectives, and performance measures for assigned staff.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor Degree of Science, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or an equivalent combination of education and experience in an appropriate field is required. 10 years experience in project development in a closely related capacity is required. Extensive experience providing leadership and managing staff and assessing staff progress. Extensive experience in the development and mentoring of staff.
