The Department of Chemistry at Bates College, a selective liberal arts college of 1,750 students, invites applications for a one-year visiting position in inorganic chemistry to begin August 1, 2013. Teaching responsibilities include a total of five courses, specifically a two-semester introductory chemistry course with laboratory (one semester of which will have an environmental chemistry focus), inorganic chemistry, and a co-taught advanced synthesis laboratory course. A Ph.D. is highly desirable; ABD applicants will be considered. Review of applications will begin on March 1, 2013 and continue until the position is filled.
