Job Description Summary:
The Biostatistics Center is currently seeking a full-time, Sr. Research Associate/Research Study Manager.
Masters degree in a related field, and 3-5 years of direct experience in the field.
5 or more years of experience supervising, working with multicenter, collaborative clinical research studies especially with respect to diabetes research.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
Oversees the coordination of regulatory and compliance activities for all clinical sites.
Supervises the coordination of ancillary studies, sub-studies, Program Coordinators and several committees.
Provides day-to-day clinical center oversight, which includes data management, study participant visit completion reports, as well as training and certification pertaining to Study protocol.
Manages the work scope and work load for coordinating center research staff; provides functional and administrative supervision over supporting research staff, and transfers technical expertise.
Establishes and oversees the implementation of new processes and procedures pertaining to the Research Study.
Coordinates the planning of Study meetings and various staff trainings, as needed, according to the progress of the Research Study.
Oversees the Research Study website maintenance, which includes posting and organization of content,in order to provide access to documents and information required by investigators, network staff, medical monitors, and the general public.
Ensures the proper implementation and documentation for quality assurance activities of the Research Study.
Evaluates and develops optimal information management measures to ensure accurate staff communication as it pertains to the Study. This includes tracking of essential information and complex report generation.
Maintains intermittent communication with The Biostatistics Center Systems Support staff and Administrative staff relating to systems and administrative details according to Study needs.
Attends various meetings off site to conduct clinical site audit, and/or to participate in various Study Committees meetings. Minimum of 2 trips per year.
