Job Description Summary:
Responsible for the configuration, maintenance and upgrading of the BMC Atrium Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and BMC Remedy ITSM Suite of products. The ITSM Administrator is also responsible for interfacing the CMDB and ITSM Suite with other GW monitoring, configuration management and reporting systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus four years of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Professional experience with BMC Remedy software to include BMC Atrium 7.6.04 and BMC ITSM 7.6.04. BMC Certifications with BMC Atrium and BMC Remedy products is highly desirable.
A proven track record of success with implementing a BMC 7.x ITSM solution is highly desirable.
Strong leadership, communications and facilitation skills are desired as is the ability to work with a diverse customer base.

Job Duties

Responsible for application administration of several specialized and highly complex IT Configuration Management and IT Service Management (ITSM) applications.Reviews policies and procedures and recommends workflow changes which would improve service delivery.

Consults with IT managers and develops customized business workflow, using out-of-the-box configuration tools, within the ITSM suite for incident, problem, change, asset and service management.Interfaces the ITSM and Configuration Management software with GW monitoring and reporting systems to automate the flow of alerts through the incident and problem management process.Maintains and upgrades the ITSM and Configuration Management software software as needed.

Consults with IT management to leverage capabilities of ITSM and Configuration Management software tools and manages data analysis and produces reports that aggregate data into key performance metrics for executive use.Evaluates on a continual basis the entire suite of ITSM tools and recommends to the senior management team ways to leverage additional BMC and 3rd Party technology to meet GW requirements.

Supports the custom GW BMC Remedy applications for Division of IT customers.

Interacts with other IT staff to assist in their use of ITSM tools, as well as, provide training for ITSM training.

Enhances professional knowledge and skills by attending training, seminars, workshops, conferences and reviewing published literature and best practices.
