Marietta College is an independent, selective, coeducational, residential, liberal arts college of 1,600 graduate and undergraduate students located in the historic river city of Marietta, Ohio. The city of 15,000 is part of a larger metro area of 150,000 located about two hours from Columbus and Pittsburgh.
The College traces its roots to 1797, was formally chartered in 1835, and was awarded a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in 1860, only the 16th institution in the nation then so honored. Marietta College invites applications for a tenure-track position as a management or marketing generalist to start in August 2013. Duties include:
--Teaching undergraduate management and marketing courses including production/operations management, marketing research, and marketing management, with an opportunity to teach courses in an area of interest and expertise;
--Developing and maintaining the curriculum; and
--Advising students; serving on committees; and engaging in professional development.
Requirements include:
--A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in management, marketing, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution is required.
--Teaching experience is strongly preferred.
