Administrative Technology Solutions at West Virginia University is seeking a talented Business Analyst to assist in the deployment and support of the University’s enterprise business systems. The primary responsibilities of this position will include identifying business objectives, working with business users to define process changes and improvements, and assisting with the creation and execution of change management tools to ensure the successful adoption of the Universities enterprise systems.
Business Analysts are responsible for determining requirements through requirement workshops, user interviews, and document analysis. Working in conjunction with their peers, they will identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop, implement, and communicate corrective actions to mitigate project risks.
Requirements: Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical personnel. Ability to work with subject matter experts to draw out their knowledge and bring them to a consensus. Excellent problem solving, process analysis, and written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with business application development methodologies and IT processes and system flow. Comfortable communicating and presenting to technical and business resources.
Education/Experience requirements: Bachelors in Education, Business Administration, Professional Writing, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, and work experience. Two years of experience as a Trainer, Technical Writer or Business analyst working with enterprise class ERP applications (Oracle E-Business Suite is preferred).
