To work as part of a team ensuring the highest quality stewardship of donors who have made charitable gifts, both endowment and expendable, to MIT. Researching existing endowed funds to determine and ensure allowable uses; working with fundraisers to advise on endowment/naming opportunities for major gift donors; producing customized annual endowment reports for donors; and problem solving and providing information to development colleagues on policies and practices related to establishing, stewarding, and reporting on funds established through individual charitable giving.
REQUIREMENTS: at least five years' experience in marketing, financial analysis, or related field; proficiency with enterprise databases and data querying tools, e.g., BSR Advance and Brio; strong analytical skills and excellent communication and collaboration skills; an understanding of basic legal and accounting terminology and practices; ability to present information in a clear and cohesive manner; and ability to present technical information to nontechnical users. A bachelor's degree and experience in development preferred. A minimum of three years in fund-raising and/or marketing analysis very desirable. Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities, approach tasks with an eye toward improved efficiency, and meet challenging and changing deadlines.
