#3266 - Articulation & Evaluations Assistant, Office of the Registrar

The University of La Verne has an opening for a full time Articulation Assistant position. The basic function of this position is to provide administrative support services to the Assistant Registrar. Under the direction of the Assistant Registrar this position provides clerical and research support to the Transfer Center and Evaluation Staff, particularly as needed for the maintenance of articulation agreements and the Banner Articulation Module.

The specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Assisting in maintaining formal articulation agreements and other course approval records. This includes updating formal articulation agreements, course review history documentation, and exam credit approval charts on-line and on the Office of the Registrar Blackboard page, updating the University SIS articulation module with transfer information as directed by the Assistant Registrar, maintaining the Transfer Center Webpage. 2) Providing research support to Assistant Registrar and the Evaluations staff; gathering documentation regarding transfer institution accreditation status, course description or syllabus, CSU/IGETC documentation, exam or certificate, and/or ACE credit recommendation; assisting as needed with the entry of transfer credits from official transcripts into Banner Articulation Module. 3) Providing general assistance to students visiting the Transfer & Evaluation Center; advising students regarding articulation agreements, articulation & evaluation policies and procedures, transferability of coursework, and general education requirements. 4) Performing clerical tasks including, but not limited to, word processing, photocopying, filing, faxing, and general office duties. 5) Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned including those related to commencement.

This position requires a Bachelor Degree with one (1) year related work experience. A general understanding of University policies and articulation procedures, strong technical skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and careful attention to detail are necessary for this position. Specific technical requirements include working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, WordPress, Adobe, and Banner INB/SSB. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize, initiate and complete tasks while providing excellent customer service and participate as an effective team member developing and maintaining trusting relationships with students and University employees.
