Job Description

Linguistics position (tenure track). Applicants must have a strong background in theoretical linguistics, broadly defined (syntax, phonology, morphology, and/or semantics) with specialization in one or more of the following subfields: cognitive science, computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, discourse processing, phonetics. Applicants with professional experience in contexts where linguistic theory is applied are especially encouraged to respond. The successful candidate will be expected to teach general education, core, and advanced courses, have an active research agenda, and ability in grant seeking/writing. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in graduate student mentoring and student advisement.

Qualifications & Requirements
Earned Ph.D. in Linguistics required at the time of appointment. Excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and an active research agenda. Experience in grant seeking/writing and willingness to provide service to the department, university and the larger professional community are expected.
Anticipated Start Date September 1, 2013
Salary Range Dependent upon qualifications
