The School of Health and Environment at the University of Massachusetts Lowell prepares professionals ready for employment in a wide range of health and environmental occupations. A large research program and vibrant community engagement enrich and support the educational programs.
The Department of Clinical Laboratory and Nutritional Sciences offers students classes taught by highly qualified faculty, hands-on laboratory experience and pertinent practicum experiences in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Nutritional Sciences and Medical Technology programs.
Nutritional Sciences seeks a professional who will provide leadership for nutritional intervention studies focused on prevention or treatment of chronic diseases.
-He/she will develop an independent extramurally funded research program as well as collaborate with colleagues on joint projects.
-He/She will supervise undergraduate research and mentor MS & PhD students
-He/she will have strong communication and teaching skills of undergraduate and graduate courses in nutrition and public health
-He/She will demonstrate excellence in their ability to conduct and publish high-impact research.
-Advise undergraduate students .
-Participate in professional and university service.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-Doctorate in nutrition or other health-related science degree with at least one degree in Nutrition.
-Proven track record in research production and publications.
-Excellent oral and written communication in English.
-Experience as a Post Doctoral and/or Assistant Professor (to be considered for higher level faculty position).
-Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching & scholarly activity.
-Evidence of ability to develop an independent research program & secure extramural funding.
-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Other Considerations:
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student and faculty populations
-R.D. credential is strongly preferred.
