Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor position:
The Department is seeking to fill one position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in Environmental Engineering. While all areas of the Environmental Engineering area discipline will be evaluated on a merit basis; candidates in the area of water resources, environmental fluid mechanics, water treatment and advanced water treatment processes, hydraulics and hydrology, water reuse, and stormwater management are encouraged. Highly qualified candidates with an exceptional record of college-level teaching and externally funded research will be considered for appointment.
A successful candidate should have a demonstrated willingness to teach Environmental Engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Civil and Environmental Engineering Department; e.g., a strong publication record with proven success in obtaining external funding; registration as a Professional Engineer or qualifications to obtain a P.E. registration; relevant industrial experience; and the interest and commitment to work with diverse student and faculty populations.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
-An earned Doctorate Degree in Civil Engineering in the Environmental Engineering discipline or a closely related field (must have PhD in hand- by the time of appointment, September 2013)
-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
-Demonstrated excellence in research and publication
-Commitment to develop and sustain an externally funded research program
-Dedication to teach undergraduate and graduate levels in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
-Registration as a Professional Engineering in Civil Engineering (or the ability to become registered) is expected and relevant academic experience is desirable.
