The Department of Elementary Education at Kutztown University invites applications for a tenure track position beginning Spring 2013 or Fall 2013. Requirements: doctorate in education or related field. Applicants must have a minimum of five years classroom teaching experience in grades PreK-middle school with early childhood and/or elementary certification, be qualified or have experience to supervise field experiences, and/or teach methods courses in a subset of the following: mathematics, science, language arts, social studies, reading, assessment, ESL, and early childhood. Successful interview and demonstration lesson required. Preferred: Candidates who will augment the diversity of the faculty and demonstrate evidence of effective teaching, service and scholarship in subject areas within professional settings related to teaching children; background experience in supervision of pre-service teachers, work with diverse populations, advisement, grant writing, service, publications, presentations, and other scholarly activities will offer added value for applicants.
