Posting Description: The University of Colorado at Denver, Department of Radiology, is seeking a MR Physicist to join the faculty at our spectacular 227-acre world class medical campus located on the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains. All of our clinical, education and research facilities have been built in the last 12 years; our imaging equipment is state of the art. We are recruiting at all academic ranks with position based upon experience and background.
The successful recruit will conduct research in novel MR imaging techniques and will be responsible for the continued development of the research and academic missions of the Colorado Translational Research Imaging Center (C-TRIC). Specifically, this will include providing research support to the University of Colorado and Colorado Children's Hospital endeavors. Participation in the Department of Radiology Graduate Education Program will be expected at all levels, including resident, physician and scientific staff mentoring. Some examples of the use of novel MR imaging techniques that will be expected are: evaluation of cardiac functions, parallel imaging reconstruction, fast quantification of T(1), T(2), and proton density, utilization of through-time spiral GRAPPA.
Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications): PhD in Physics and a track record in research, education and publication.
