Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is a residential state college located in Tifton, Georgia, named one of the best 100 small towns in America. The college offers associate and baccalaureate degrees and has an approximate enrollment of 3300.

Position Title: Professor and Dean of the School of Science and Mathematics

The Dean is responsible for overseeing the operation of the School, the major responsibilities of which are to manage the administrative, fiscal, and instructional resources of the School, including, but not limited to: recruiting and hiring full and part time faculty, providing for the ongoing professional development and evaluation of the faculty, overseeing curriculum development and assessment, teaching classes in the School, external development, recruiting, and responding to student needs as they arise. Further, the Dean supervises staff and faculty within the school. The Dean reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and is also responsible for implementing unit goals that correspond to the strategic goals and mission of ABAC. This is a 12-month, tenure-track position, and requires a terminal degree in the appropriate discipline.

The Dean of the School of Science and Mathematics supervises 22 full-time faculty and staff and approximately 20 part-time faculty. The incumbent is responsible for the School budget of approximately $1.5 million, and must be able to set priorities and allocate funds in accordance with the goals of the school. Collegiate teaching and a minimum of five years of administrative experience in the college environment is required.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
