Position Summary
Under general guidance and with latitude to exercise independent judgment, coordinates the development and conduct of large, multi-center clinical research studies, epidemiologic investigations and databases for investigations in which DRO assumes a national leadership role, including NIH-funded research. This includes the provision of administrative and scientific support at multiple national centers led and coordinated by the URMC PI, including recruitment of subjects, study conduct and monitoring, and data quality control. Must be able to function independently in a clinical research setting and be responsible for the complete, high-quality coordination of assigned clinical research activities, other duties and fulfill, as needed, supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's degree in nursing, allied health, social or technical field and 3-5 years (prefer 5 years) of clinical trials-related experience or a combination of education and experience. Certification as a Clinical Research Professional preferred. Knowledge of computer databases, work processing, spreadsheets, and graphics packages. Effective problem solving, writing, interpersonal skills and communication skills. Able to multi-task both independently and as part of a team. Able to take initiative, demonstrate resourcefulness, assume responsibility and ensure follow-through and high-quality completion of work. Requires discernment, dedication and commitment.
