The appointment will be effective no later than July 1, 2013, with a start date no later than August 12, 2013.
The College of Mount St. Joseph was founded on the west side of Cincinnati in 1920 by the Sisters of Charity. Current enrollment is approximately 2400 students. Among 9 associates degrees, 39 bachelor’s degrees, 6 master’s degrees and 2 doctorate degrees, the College enrolls students in an associate degree program in Business Administration, bachelor’s degree programs in Accounting, Business Administration, and Sport Management as well as an accelerated Master of Business Administration (4+1 MBA) and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. The College’s planning for this Division is focused upon critical goals aimed at retaining, expanding, and emphasizing quality business related academic programs in traditional, blended and on-line formats that will enhance student enrollment and success.
Desired Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
• Have earned an advanced degree in a business related field, terminal degree preferred
• Bring a record of exemplary leadership and administrative experience
• Be aware of the accelerating changes, trends, and challenges within higher education and their relevance to the College and the Business Division
• Possess a combination of extensive leadership, supervisory and management experience in a business setting and/or academic experience in a business division at a regionally accredited institution of higher education;
• Have the demonstrated ability and commitment to work collaboratively with colleagues in developing a vision of continuing growth and increasing academic strength which is consistent with the College’s strategic goals
• Build on Business Division initiatives to enhance enrollment and quality academic offerings.
• Be capable of and committed to providing ongoing leadership which will perpetuate the College’s mission and vision as supported by the Sisters of Charity in providing educational opportunities for our student body within the Greater Cincinnati Region and beyond.
