Reporting to the Director of Broadcast and Media Facilities, the Senior Engineer for Television and Digital Media serves as one of the College of the Arts' technology leaders, with primary responsibilities in operation of high definition television control rooms, remote production trucks, transmission, studios and electronic field production. Secondary responsibilities include maintaining the radio station and multiplatform newsroom.
The successful candidate will join a team of four full-time engineers in Broadcast and Media Facilities, a unit comprised of the DuMont Television Center, WMSC-FM radio, and a multiplatform newsroom. The unit provides service to academic faculty, departments and schools (with especially close interaction with the School of Communication and Media), and the College of the Arts as well as on- and off-campus clients and industry partners (including NJTV). The Senior Engineer is expected to work in all areas and with all users of the unit as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Significant experience in television technical operations, including broadcast equipment maintenance, live and recorded television events and series, studio and field production, high definition remote trucks, satellite transmission trucks and live news broadcasting. Knowledge and skills in engineering for radio, Internet, and digital technologies are highly desirable as is the readiness to receive additional training in these areas.
Appropriate attitude and interpersonal skills for operating successfully in a customer-focused academic environment.
A degree from an accredited college preferred, although candidates with an extensive professional record may substitute experience for education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary Range $67,165.52 - $104,122.08
