Position Summary
This position is responsible for working with the dean in developing, coordinating, evaluating services, and integrating the Learning Support Center, Teaching and Learning, and Center programs LSCS at Kingwood College. The individual will work directly with the director and faculty in support of classroom success. The individual will coordinate the Supplemental Instruction, Reading and Writing and Math Labs, Student Success Seminars, and Tutor Training Certification programs. The individual will work with faculty and tutors to integrate these programs for the benefit of student success. The individual will recruit and train peer tutors for the Supplemental Instruction program. The individual will deliver services directly to students in support of academic success including success seminars and reading, writing, and study skills.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in a field such as Adult Learning, Curriculum and Instruction, Library Science, or related field with demonstrated success in the areas of academic support.
Experience in one or more of the following programs: Library, Media, Academic Support Center, Distance Learning, Teaching and Learning.
Organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively and in support of faculty and students are essential. Experience working with technology, including PowerPoint, Word, Web creation, and Excel is essential. Experience in the community college is a plus.
