Responsibility is teaching across the curriculum with emphasis on social policy and research methods in a CSWE accredited MSW program. The faculty member will report to the chairperson of the Department of Social Work. Responsibilities in addition to teaching include participation in the advisement of students, governance, scholarship, service, committee work and other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications:
Doctorate in Social Work or a closely related field is required. ABD candidates will be considered. ABD must be completed within 6 months of hire. In addition, applicant must have an MSW degree from a CSWE accredited institution and at least two years of post-MSW direct social work practice experience; demonstrated teaching proficiency and experience; demonstrated ability for research and scholarly activities; demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse populations; and research and practice experience focusing on diversity. The position requires the ability to teach research and policy courses at the Master's level.
Preferred Qualifications:
It is preferred that the candidate have research and policy teaching experience, and be able to utilize information technology in the classroom, have a record of success in obtaining external funding, and demonstrate community and professional service experience.
