Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Business Management department is highly interdisciplinary, housing faculty with teaching and research programs in Information Systems/Technology, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Finance. Academic courses are offered at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Essential Job Duties:
Primary responsibility is teaching the introductory Information Systems Management course (4 sections per semester) within the undergraduate program. Other teaching in the Information Technology concentration may be required depending on department staffing needs. Course load will not exceed 4 sections per semester. The Fundamentals of Information Systems course covers the development and use of IT in an organizational setting. Specifically: Information systems (IS), concepts, hardware, software, telecommunications, database management, IS development, business processes, global issues, security and ethical challenges.
Secondary responsibility is to serve as the faculty advisor to the student information technology club.
The ideal candidate will have undergraduate teaching experience in a classroom and computer lab setting.
Minimum Experience/Education:
A Master’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent. Doctoral candidates will also be considered.
Departmental Required Skills:
Applicants must have extensive knowledge of information technology areas such as business software, information systems concepts, databases, decision support systems, enterprise applications, strategic IS, networking, and systems development.
Successful candidates should also have work experience in information systems management and technology in private or public organizations in addition to a demonstrated teaching interest and ability.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Evidence of high-quality teaching through, for example, teaching evaluations and letters of recommendation. Three or more years of work experience in the Information Technology industry.
