Working Title: Director, Office of Sustainability and Energy Integration
Job Description:
The Office of Sustainability and Energy Integration was established to foster innovation and collaboration in sustainability-related teaching, research, outreach and resource conservation programs and projects. The Director is responsible for the overall management of the Office of Sustainability and Energy Integration including the supervision of its staff, the development of reports, programs, and policies related to operational sustainability for University facilities and infrastructure; funding initiatives; and the development and execution of various outreach programs and strategic communication plan. The Director will collaborate with constituencies to develop a working model for the integration of energy management and other sustainable concepts and practices into the operations of the University. The Director will work in close conjunction with Academic Affairs, which is responsible for the development of programs and policies relating to sustainability in teaching and research on campus, as well as the Joint Sustainability Committee.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful candidate has experience in administration and staff supervision; experience in fundraising and grant writing; possess extensive knowledge in environmental management practices; knowledgeable in energy management concepts and practices; and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills, including experience in report writing and public speaking.
