The University of Florida Department of Medicine Division of General Internal Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time physician scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with a focus on health outcomes research, comparative effectiveness, medical decision making, or cost-effectiveness analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical care and teaching with significant time protected for research.
The division is focused on implementing innovative ways to deliver highly reliable and accessible comprehensive medical care to adults. Faculty within the division are consistently recognized as among the best clinicians and educators in the UF College of Medicine. We are building a team that will become nationally recognized for exceptional care, education, and scholarship in General Internal Medicine. The UF Department of Medicine is a national leader in cancer, cardiology, gastroenterology, kidney disorders and pulmonology. In addition, Shands Hospital is ranked among the top-50 in seven specialties in the 2012 edition of America’s Best Hospitals, published by U.S. News & World Report.
