Oversee the day to day operations of the animal care facilities. Maintain the facilities according to policies, procedures and standards and ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines and regulations. Work with Assistant Director, Animal Facilities Operations and research staff members to ensure that the care and use of lab animal is conducted following established procedures. Maintain the appropriate animal care records, facilities operations, animal care/husbandry operations and technical guidance of animal care staff. Collaborate with the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) to uphold institution-wide regulations and standards of care. Contribute to the Universitys Laboratory Animal Science core by mentoring and managing staff and actively participate in training LACF and research staff in compliance monitoring.

Requires: B.A./B.S., strong supervisory skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and three to five years of experience.
