Concordia College, Moorhead, MN invites applications for a tenure-eligible position in the Psychology Department. This position involves teaching and research responsibilities consistent with an advanced-level graduate preparation (Ph.D) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology as well as significant teaching and clinical experience.
The course load (three courses per semester) will include teaching Personality Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Psychotherapy, Sport Psychology and one course per year in the Women's Studies concentration.
The position also involves supervising undergraduate researchers within an active research laboratory that focuses on research with a clinical emphasis. Other responsibilities include student advising, supervision of student honors research, assisting students who aspire to graduate school (particularly in clinical fields), committee service, and other activities such as mentoring a student organization. Position begins in August, 2013.
The successful candidate must show dedication to high quality teaching and research and should be in sympathy with the mission of a college of the Lutheran (ELCA) church, which entails a commitment to academic freedom and openness to discussions about the relationship between faith and learning.
