Under the supervision of an established professor in the field of Integrated Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), the Laboratory Manager will be responsible for supporting the daily operational needs of an experimental research laboratory, and an aggressive portfolio of R&D programs developing revolutionary micro-sensors and systems based on innovative device architectures, materials, fabrication, and controls conducted in state-of-the-art facilities in an ambitious and stimulating entrepreneurial environment. The incumbent will ensure equipment functions properly, supplies are purchased and managed efficiently, facilities are kept in working order, and safety regulations are met. Additional responsibilities will include hands-on operation of MEMS fabrication and packaging equipment, design and implementation of computer controlled characterization experiments, measurement data collection and statistical analysis. The incumbent will also provide administrative support to lab members and Principal Investigators, including regular assistance with formatting of various documents and presentations, budgeting calculations, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks.
Salary: 80% of $45,012 Annually
Work Schedule: 32 hours per week
Contract position.
Completion of required UCI Training programs. Familiarity with UC Policies and Procedures. This is a 1-year contract position subject to annual renewal based on available funding.
