The Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Department of Medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is inviting applications for the position of director of the Urgent Neurology Clinic in the Division of Neurology. The position should be eligible for a clinical full-time academic appointment in the Department of Medicine, University of Toronto at the rank of Assistant Professor. Expected start date is July 1, 2013 or another mutually agreeable date thereafter.
Major responsibilities for this position will include running the daily activities of an outpatient acute neurology clinic in a busy tertiary centre. The clinic will maintain accountability for patient flow, and serve as a focus for excellent undergraduate and postgraduate training in general neurology. The ideal candidate will have interest and training in advanced education and a subspecialty interest in neurology including neuromuscular disease. The successful candidate must have subspecialty training neurology and have successfully completed a Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship. The candidate must hold an MD degree, and be eligible for licensure in the province of Ontario. Salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
