Lone Star College System is made up of five comprehensive community campuses located throughout the North Houston metro area of Texas serving 1,400 square miles in Harris and Montgomery Counties. Position Summary
The Continuing Education Machining Technology Instructor provides learning activities and support that lead to course objectives and contribute to the educational environment of the Lone Star College System and the community. Responsibilities include learning facilitation, personal and professional development. Primary functions are to plan, develop and teach courses within the Machining Technology curriculum that facilitates student learning.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years documented experience in Machining Industry, including extensive hand-on experience programming and operating Computerized Numeric Control (CNC) Machining equipment. Ability to secure within 6 months of hiring date required NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) Instructor certifications and maintains those certifications during period of employment.

Preferred Qualifications
Two years Associate degree or Certification by a recognized Educational Institution in Machining Technology

Salary
Starting salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience.
